Simple, Versatile Gas-Phase Process

UNIPOL PP Technology is a simple and elegant system featuring gas-phase fluidized- bed reactors. In contrast to the liquid phase process used by some competitors, Plants based on UNIPOL PP Technology are simpler in design and require no equipment for handling, separating and recycling solvents. UNIPOL PP Technology consists of either one or two gas-phase fluidized-bed reactors. The reactors have no internal moving parts or mechanical gas/solid separation systems.

A single reactor produces homopolymers and random copolymers using ethylene or butene. For impact copolymers, a second reactor polymerizes the key elastomeric component directly into the growing resin particles. The thoroughly back-mixed nature of the reactors leads to exceptional product consistency.

A plant design utilizing UNIPOL PP Technology is easily customized to the size, product scope and other requirements of individual operators.

The streamlined flow sheet and low equipment requirements bring advantages to users of UNIPOL PP Technology through lower investment costs, low utility and maintenance costs and excellent operating reliability. Always in the lead in demonstrating world scale capacities, UNIPOL PP Technology is thoroughly proven and refined technology with many international engineering companies offering experience in design and construction.

Safety and Reliability

UNIPOL PP Technology meets the most stringent environmental regulations. It has an excellent record worldwide for safety and environmental performance. The technology offers the best combination of safety, reliability, product flexibility and economy.
