Dow Turns a New Chapter of Growth in China Shanghai - August 31, 2004 Dow Chemical turns a new chapter of growth in China today by officially opening a new branch office in Shanghai which will also serve as the headquarters of Dow Greater China. The new office, equipped with state-of-the-art information technology, is a strategic move in sharpening the companys focus on Greater China, an important growth region for the company. "With US$1.6 billion in revenue in 2003, Dow Greater China is a significant contributor to Dow's corporate growth and profitability." said Jim McIlvenny, President of Dow Greater China. "Our new Shanghai office will give us greater flexibility to better serve our customers in the region, thereby enabling more and bigger rooms for growth.
