How does the recruiting process work?

Candidates will be selected from on-line applications. Top candidates will be invited for face-to-face interviews either on campus or at Dow Shanghai office. Interviews will be conducted by senior Dow leaders from different functions.


How do I apply for the Business Assignment Program?

Students may apply directly to the program by submitting an application on Search for Jobs at Dow.


Which Dow Subsidiary will I be interviewing with? Where will I be located if I am selected for the job?

Successful BAP applicants will be employed by Dow Chemical (China) Investment Co., Ltd and based in Shanghai. This is developmental program for new MBA graduates and is different from immediate placement in a specific role in a function or business. Our objective is to develop high potential talent with experience in a wide array of core company operations.


What kind of rotations can I experience?

Project assignment/job rotation will be cross functional and diverse, for example, Finance, Marketing, Business Development and Shared Services (including Supply Chain, Purchasing and Customer Services). A marketing project is mandatory for each program participant.


Does Dow hire international students?

BAP accepts students who have permanent authorization to work in China, but does not currently sponsor international students. Other career opportunities within Dow may exist for international students.

How will my performance be evaluated?

Participants will be formally evaluated by the BAP Sponsor and senior leaders at the end of each assignment. Participants will be evaluated based on their achievements in their project as well as on their leadership competencies. Participants will receive regular feedback from their mentors.
