Sustainable career. Personal and professional growth. People Centric Culture. These were key topics of conversation at the 2010 Campus Talk under the theme "Creating a Green Future with Dow" at Sichuan University the evening of Oct. 26th. More than 400 students rushed from all corners of the campus to overflow the opening session and interact with Dow employees to learn about the company and the employment opportunities it offers.  Xiaorong Hu, from Manufacturing and Engineering Department, East China University of Science and Technology Alumni, introduced students to how they can build a green career at Dow using her own career path and commitment to a sustainable future as an example. This theme carried into Dow Asia Pacific Chief Technology Officer Theresa Kotanchek, and Dow Zhangjiagang Site General Manager Henry Ling's company introduction which highlighted the structure of R&D and M&E and the long-term commitment of these functions to improve people's daily lives. A lively Q&A session featured questions for all the functions, as the microphone moved from one corner of the auditorium to the other. The 2010 Campus Talk has dedicated more time for interaction and discussions between students, Dow leaders and East China University of Science and Technology alumni. Students were encouraged to attend one of these extended Corner Talks focused on a specific function that met their skills and interests. The students enjoyed interacting with Benson Ye from Human Resource Department, who shared students the major requirements for HRDP and he also shared a typical day of HR to give students a vivid impression. Each corner was buzzing with excitement as both Dow people and students engaged in lively discussions.  Online applications are open until October 31st.
