We're looking for the talents in Science, Information Technology and Engineering disciplines to help us develop and test new technologies and products. DOW hires exceptional people at every degree level. Current position available for the DOW apprentice program is that of Test Specialist, working on a broad base of technologies including Microsoft Windows Platforms, VMS, MVS, SAP, Oracle, Siebel and PeopleSoft. Qualifications Dow Information Systems has positions open to current students with: •Graduate in 2011 with background in Science, Information Technology and Engineering disciplines •Interest in and enthusiasm for Information Technology •Outstanding interpersonal skills •Willingness to work in a global team environment •High degree of initiative •Excellent communication skills IT disciplines are not a necessity to join us – we provide training and coaching that will help you become successful in these positions. DOW Apprentice Program Specifics DOW Apprentice Program is lasting until your graduation which means you can spend 9 – 18 months working in the company. It is not a full-time position and you will be expected to work at least 24 hours per week with flexibility. We want to make sure we provide you a valuable learning experience and a deeper understanding of DOW's work environment and culture. The program consists of orientation and process training on the first 2 weeks. Afterwards you will be assigned to do application test work and complete project test deliverables. You will be provided on-the-job training as you go through your various work assignments. You will be exposed to a variety of IT technologies, systems and platforms, and will collaborate with many of Dow's global IT teams.
