The researchers in our Corporate R&D organization work on the discovery of new technologies and the enhancement of current product platforms to create the products of the future. Business researchers aligned with commercial Application Development teams help to assess customer needs and match current product solutions to meet their needs or create new products for emerging requirements. The R&D people working in Technical Service & Development support customer needs by helping to develop new products and providing technical knowledge on the use, handling and management of Dow products. Dow's Research Assignments Program (RAP) is a rotational program in which new employees select and complete three to four projects with different Dow R&D groups during their first year on the job. At the completion of the program, RAP employees move into a specific role that matches their interests and needs of the company.
