Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S)

Dow professionals in Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) have a shared commitment to protect people and the environment.

They are responsible for ensuring that Dow products and operations meet applicable government or Dow standards, whichever is more stringent.

They work to eliminate all injuries, prevent adverse environmental and health impacts, reduce wastes and emissions, and promote resource conservation at every stage of the life cycle of our products.

Our EH&S team is working with academia, government, environmental groups and other companies to minimize the impact of industry on the environment and achieve new levels of corporate citizenship. Their efforts are resulting in industry records at many Dow sites and extensive recognition from communities, governments, activists and the news media.



Finance

The Finance organization at Dow consists of top caliber people who draw on leading-edge technologies and best-in-class financial processes to perform their corporate, business and regional roles.

Finance people in the corporate organization focus on technologies, work processes and corporate governance issues. Those in business roles bring finance expertise to Dow's global businesses while those in the regions are responsible for the deployment, compliance and implementation of work processes at the local level.



Human Resources (HR)

We produce more than 3,500 different products and technologies serving virtually every industry segment and deliver best in class performances at each of Dow's manufacturing site around the world. The R&D Center is based in Shanghai to support growth and innovation in Greater China and the Asia Pacific region. Customer Service
Dow people in Customer Service are the front line of the company's business, interacting daily with customers and distributors. Information Systems
Dow Information Systems (I/S) professionals use some of the world's most sophisticated applications and systems to help Dow people work smarter on a global scale.

The Project & Support Center develops, tests and implements leading-edge applications and technologies such as e-commerce, Radio Frequency Identification, SAP and PeopleSoft.

Enterprise System Operations is where I/S professionals work on delivering infrastructure services and products like WinDows XP, Microsoft Exchange, NetMeeting and Documentum. In addition, they staff the support, resolution and operations center, provide field services, maintain information security, research future technologies, and promote Dow's vast and powerful Intranet.

Purchasing
Global Purchasing helps Dow provide solutions to the most fundamental human problems related to health, energy, housing, food and water. How? By delivering substantial, sustainable competitive advantage to Dow's businesses and functions as they apply science to improve the human condition.

Purchasing serves as an important steward of Dow resources by approaching purchases strategically — considering how and where to optimally source materials and services before it ever begins negotiating contracts.

We focus on total cost impact, not just on the price, recognizing that reliability, safety and security are important factors to Dow's bottom line around the globe. Our goal is to deliver value to Dow by delighting our internal customers and cultivating strong supplier relationships with only the best of the best suppliers.

Supply Chain
Dow's Supply Chain function provides safe and reliable handling and t transportation management services to ensure the synchronous flow of materials and information from Dow manufacturing plants to our customers.

The Operations group within Supply Chain is involved in the packaging, moving, handling and storage of chemicals and products in a safe, secure and cost-efficient manner that complies with regulatory requirements.

Improvement engineers support the logistics operations at Dow's manufacturing facilities while supply chain specialists work with Dow businesses to help them achieve their specific supply chain performance objectives.
