Work at Dow, for a Green FuturePractitioner for a Green Future  Master of Management Science and Engineering, Shanghai Jiaotong University Joined Dow in 2007 Purchasing Specialist, Asia Pacific I am a graduate of Shanghai Jiaotong University. I joined Dow in 2007 and I am now a purchasing specialist at Dow Asia Pacific. I was a rookie when I joined Dow. At first, I found it extremely challenging working with suppliers. However, with the support and help from my colleagues and leader, I quickly adapted to the new environment. After a short while, I was able to take on the job of sourcing all raw materials for a plant on my own. Today, I support the daily sourcing requirements for the operation of a few plants. My responsibilities can be demanding, but this makes my job more rewarding. In the past two years, I have been able to develop to my full potential leveraging on Dow's platform. I live a fulfilling and happy life. I am lucky and proud to have started my career right here at Dow. Dow has always been committed to Responsible Care® and the protection of human health and the environment. Our top priority in selecting a supplier is to ensure that the supplier's environmental performance and controls meet our requirements, or else Dow will not consider the supplier as a candidate no matter how competitive their product quality and pricing are. My job is to find the right suppliers for Dow, and deliver on Dow's commitment to sustainability.
