SVR Closed-Loop Delivery System for DOWPER Solvent

Dow’s Closed-Loop Delivery System for DOWPER™ solvent meets today's requirements for environmental responsibility, employee safety and regulatory reporting.

This closed system eliminates the need for traditional long-hose delivery from distributor trucks, lowering the risk of releases during delivery, reducing potential exposure to solvent vapors, while accurately documenting the quantity of solvent purchases.

Here's How the System Works:

  1. The Container. Your distributor delivers DOWPER solvent in 15 gallon stainless steel small volume refillable (SVR) containers†. Each container is completely sealed and equipped with a tamper-proof dry-disconnect valve. You are assured of the quality DOWPER solvent with each delivery.
  2. The Connection. A similar dry-disconnect valve is installed on the solvent tank of your drycleaning machine. This unique fitting permits both solvent flow and vapor return in one unit. You need only one entry into your machine in most installations.
  3. The Delivery. An all-aluminum wheeled cart transports the SVR container into your plant. Your distributor representative connects the SVR container to your drycleaning machine using a special dry-disconnect coupler. The dry-disconnect feature means that all connections are sealed before and after transfer, so that virtually no liquid vapor is able to escape.
  4. The Transfer. During filling, your distributor representative works with a unique hand-held remote operating device right at the filling point. This safety feature permits close observation of the filling process and ensures a continual attendance during the solvent transfer, even when there is no room behind your drycleaning machine for the dispensing cart.
  5. The Report. Computerized equipment on the dispensing cart monitors the flow of solvent during delivery to the hundredths of a unit, and then prints out a two-part ticket indicating the amount delivered. The ticket is an essential record that helps you meet mandated federal and state reporting requirements.
