For trouble-free operation of a modern cleaning process, it is essential to check and monitor the solvent quality. Different MAXICHECK™ Test Kits provide an easy, spot check method to measure relevant stabilizer levels.

Regular testing will prevent acidification during use and will give guidelines for restabilization with MAXISTAB™ .

Special Test Kits are available from your solvent distributor to determine specific key stabilizer level.

Lab Analysis

In most cases, on-site testing provides adequate information for restabilization. However, the causes of situations such as sudden loss of stabilization can often only be determined through comprehensive laboratory testing.

We recommend regular laboratory analysis at six month intervals.

Solvent Analysis

As part of our range of services we offer a special laboratory test service to determine the solvent quality in your application. Gas chromatography-based test technology is applied at Dow Europe's central labs in Horgen, Switzerland to determine the important factors of solvent quality, e.g. water content, stabilizer profile, total acid acceptance, co-products and decomposition products.

Furthermore, conventional methods are used to measure the pH value, the acid content, and the chloride concentration. Shortly after submitting your solvent sample, you will receive a detailed report of the analysis results by fax or mail. Where appropriate, the report will include problem solving recommendations or measures on solvent care.

Analysis Kit contents:

7 ml sample tube, accompanying forms and return packaging.

Oil Compatibility Analysis

The oil compatibility test helps to predict how contaminants such as cutting oils, lubricants or other substances will react with the solvent or the stabilizer system in actual operation.

The oil compatibility analysis is carried out using highly developed analytical methods in the research and development laboratory at Dow Europe S.A. in Horgen, Switzerland. You will receive a detailed report by fax or mail containing all information relative to the compatibility of the processing agent provided with the solvent used.

Analysis Kit contents:

100 ml sample tube, accompanying forms and return packaging.
