Excess nonvolatile matter. Insufficient rinsing, poor solvent circulation, incomplete extraction, and overloading dryer will also contribute.

Occurs mainly in the folds of fabrics. Fluff dry in lightly loaded dyers. (Note: problem usually occurs during the first five minutes of the drying cycle.) |
Add sufficient filter aid and/or distill on the basis of 4-6 gals/100 lbs of clothes. Avoid overloading. Be sure tumbler is rotating.
