| Coldwaving Solutions |
Bleaching properties of the ingredients found in the solutions |
Usually occurs at neckline or back of dresses. Since reducing oxidizing actions are rather slow, coldwater solutions rarely affect garments when first spilled. Ingredients are nonvolatile and will remain on garments until dry-cleaned, when the heat of pressing cause them to bleach out the color. Aging will also create problems. |
Flush out affected areas with water. Do not steam gun or dry-clean. Since coldwaving solutions are water soluble, garments should be wet-cleaned if possible. |
