Dow Increases Prices for GMA and Acrylic Monomers across All Regions Hong Kong - October 12, 2005 The Epoxy Products and Intermediates (EP&I) business of The Dow Chemical Company is increasing prices for its Glycidyl Methacyrlate (GMA) by 8 percent, and for Hydroxyethyl Acrylate (HEA) and Hydroxypropyl Acrylate (HPA) by 10 percent across all regions. The increase is effective November 1, 2005, or as contract terms allow. Dow said the increases are necessary to help offset the persistent increases in energy and raw material costs. This already challenging business environment is exacerbated by the recent hurricanes, the full impact of which is still unfolding. Customers interested in learning more about the price increase should contact their local Dow sales representative. Dow is a leading worldwide producer of GMA, HEA and HPA. Each is a high purity, dual functionality monomer. The versatility of Dow's acrylic monomers makes them ideal for an unlimited number of coating design and application uses, including: automotive and truck finishing, marine finishes, appliance coatings, coil coatings, can coatings, adhesives, printing inks and asphalt modifiers.
