Habitat for Humanity International

Dow and Habitat for Humanity International have been building great things together since the early 1980s. Dow's commitment and contributions reach beyond science and technology to embrace the Human Element and to help provide sustainable, affordable housing to those in need. Dow lends support to Habitat in many ways, including house sponsorship, product donation and volunteer work crews at builds around the world.

Habitat for Humanity is excited to expand the significant longtime support of Dow and its employees into an opportunity to match the professional skills of Dow retirees with project needs at local Habitat affiliates around the country. We are looking for enthusiastic people with the ability to donate their expertise to various projects.  The available opportunities will help you gain experience in a nonprofit setting in the community.  Available opportunities include projects such as assisting with business development and helping to implement "green building" and youth education programs.

A World in Motion - Midland, MI and Bay City, MI Public Schools

As part of its commitment to science education, Dow is proud to join the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) International to help students discover the exciting world of science and engineering through a fun, educational program called A World in Motion (AWIM).

Since 1990, A World in Motion has brought math and science principles to life through highly interactive learning experiences that incorporate the laws of physics, motion, flight and electronics.

Volunteers can help to inspire local elementary school students to get interested in science and engineering through experiencing A World in Motion.  As a volunteer, you are able to work with area educators to conduct and help with simple experiments.

If you would like to participate in this rewarding experience, check the AWIM website.
