Coming Together: Texas Hill Country Reunion

The Texas Hill Country Dow Alumni reunion luncheon was held on April 7 in Kerrville, Texas. There was a great turnout, and everyone enjoyed the venue, with a few people staying overnight at the Inn of the Hills.
The event included an address by keynote speaker Arnold Allemang, former corporate executive vice president and member of Dow’s Board of Directors. He provided a comprehensive global outlook on Dow that gave attendees a very positive feeling about Dow’s present and future.
Leslie Sosebee, retiree health promotions coordinator for Dow, provided an update on health issues and programs to promote healthy lifestyles. Also in attendance were representatives from Aetna and the Texas Dow Employees’ Credit Union (TDECU) to answer questions and share the fellowship.
Getting Ready for Next Year
Everyone voted to have the next reunion luncheon in the spring instead of fall. Since Easter and Holy Week are in early April next year, the reunion will most likely take place on April 12, 2012, in Austin. Anita and Don Knight will be the site coordinators, and they will explore venues that are convenient and reasonable. Dow retirees from Houston and other Dow locations are always welcome.
