75 Years of Information Technology at Dow

Let’s celebrate! Information technology (IT) use at Dow has reached its 75th anniversary this year. Dow executive vice president and CIO Dave Kepler is pleased to invite all retirees who have been involved in this journey through Data Processing, Computer Services, Information Systems or other departments to attend our celebration on June 16 and 17 in Midland.

This event will showcase the important role IT has played in Dow’s history. Participants will reminisce about the past, share current projects and technology and look to the future. But most of all, the event will focus on the Human Element of information technology – the men and women whose talents and dedication have made all IT accomplishments possible. There will be time for employees and retirees to share stories, reconnect with old friends and take a moment to reflect on our remarkable history.

All retirees who plan on being in the Midland area are encouraged to attend. The event will include a social mixer, a picnic lunch with current IT employees, tickets to a Great Lakes Loons baseball game, and a gallery walk and presentation at the Dow Corporate Center. More details about the event will be available soon. In the meantime, please register your interest at this site (http://www.dow.com/about/it-75th-anniversary/register.htm) and pass this information on to other IT retirees. This event is also on Facebook at the link http://www. facebook.com/#!/event.php?eid=163830213663674.

Tracy Teich (TATeich@dow.com) and Jennifer Kitt (JNKitt@dow.com) are coordinating the celebration. Please contact them directly if you have specific questions or suggestions.
