You may have received a letter dated December 19, 2011 from BNY Mellon, mailed to a select population of shareholders with potentially dormant accounts, that indicates “IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR DOW CHEMICAL STOCK” on the envelope. Please respond immediately and follow the instructions. Failure to do so may result in abandonment of your Dow stock, including those accounts that are enrolled in the Dividend Reinvestment Plan, and also any uncashed dividend checks.
