Why Are Older Adults Not More Physically Active?

Ask yourself…do you believe that physical activity is good for your health? Do you believe you get enough physical activity to benefit your health and wellbeing? If not, why not? Research published in the British scientific journal Age and Ageing found that 96% of older adults surveyed believe that physical activity improves health – but only 47% actually participate in enough physical activity to keep themselves healthier. So, if older adults recognize the value of physical activity, why aren't they more active?
