Dow Footwear Solutions Delivers Innovation for the Footwear Industry and Consumers

Dow Footwear Solutions announced today at the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market Show that it will supply its VORALAST® Soling System with renewable content to The Timberland Company for the Miōn® Spring 2008 line of outdoor footwear. Dow Footwear Solutions is a business unit recently launched by The Dow Chemical Company and is a leading provider of innovative solutions to the footwear industry worldwide.

The VORALAST R series - an extension of the proven Dow range of VORALAST Soling Systems - delivers the performance and superior comfort that consumers have come to expect, while meeting their demand for environmentally-friendlier products that contain renewable raw materials. VORALAST R renewable grade series contains natural oil polyols which results in less energy consumption and fewer greenhouse gas emissions during production.
