Excellent initial tack and quick peel
build
- Adheres aggressively to a variety
of substrate surfaces. It exhibits
exceptionally high levels of cohesive
strength and resistance - properties
critical for specialty tapes and materials.
Shear resistance
- Extremely robust
shear values of more than 100 hours
with two kilograms per square inch
on stainless steel make this the first
and only emulsion PSA to exhibit such
impressive values in combination with
high adhesion to multiple substrates.
Heat resistance
- Withstands
punishing hot shear tests of one
kilogram on stainless steel bonding
surfaces at 150 degrees F (62 degrees
C) for more than 50 hours – values
that exceed even those of some solvent-based
choices. No other emulsion PSA has
come close to such outstanding heat
resistance capabilities while retaining
this level of excellent adhesion – a
stunning property balance achievement
for a water-based acrylic PSA.
Plasticizer migration resistance (PMR)
- Withstands
plasticizer migration superbly, with
typical peel retentions topping 50
percent on polymeric vinyls after heat
exposure. Graphics and automotive PVC
foam tapes are just two of the many
applications requiring high PMR.
Moisture resistance
- Retains more than
80 percent of its peel after prolonged
exposure to moisture under severe conditions
of 90 percent humidity at 95 degrees
F (35 degrees C). This exceptional
characteristic - previously an insurmountable
limitation for aqueous adhesives -
suits medium-performance outdoor graphics
installations as well as building and
construction applications.
