You will need to complete a separate State Withholding Form if you work and/or live in one of the following states. Print and complete the State W-4 Form and retain to bring with you on your first day of employment.
- Complete the form legibly by either typing or printing the information.
- Refer to the IRS Tax Tips and the worksheets on the linked pages to aid in determining exemptions. If you are unsure of the amount of exemptions you should claim please consult your financial advisor or tax preparer.
- To ensure that you are being taxed correctly, please address your State W-4 for with the current state in which you will work. For example, if you are relocating to Freeport, Texas please use a Texas address even though it may only be a temporary address. If you are supplying a temporary address please remember to update your address as soon as it becomes available via Dow Intranet.
- Please make sure to sign and date the form with your actual start date.
- It is important to note that if this form is not received you will be defaulted to the highest tax withholding allowable by state and federal law.
