To quality, applicants must be charitable or non-profit organizations (have a

“This competitive grant program is designed to identify projects that will help
make our local communities better places to live and work over the long term,”
says Trish Ritthaler, community relations manager. “Dow is proud to be a part of
this region and we want to make it even stronger by helping meet community
needs.”
Ritthaler notes this year’s program requires applicants to show how their
project fits into at least one of Dow’s focus areas for contribution - science
in society, community sustainability, and environmental enhancement.
Since 2004, Dow’s community grants program has distributed about $600,000. The
program has previously supported projects such as rehabilitation facilities for
wildlife, restoration of historical buildings, youth environmental education,
community health information and workforce development.
Winners are selected by a committee made up of Dow employees and community
members.
Two special information sessions about the program will be held on Thursday,
March 22 at the Lake Jackson Civic Centre. The first is from 9-11 a.m. and the
second is from 5-7 p.m. Interested participants can RSVP to 979-238-4649 or
