Entertainment Lineup for Dow Neighbor Day Announced

Freeport, TX - April 20, 2006

Southern Brazoria County has been a good neighbor for more than six decades and to say thanks, Dow Texas Operations will be hosting a fun-filled 65th Anniversary Celebration at Brazosport College on Saturday, May 6. The festivities start at 1 p.m. and end with a fireworks spectacular shortly after dusk.

When it comes to fun for all ages, Dow Neighbor day has it covered - free carnival rides and a variety of local bands, choirs, jugglers, dance teams, clowns and face painters.

The following is the Dow Neighbor Day Entertainment Schedule:

Promenade Stage
1:00 - 1:45 p.m.		The Intercoastal Pirates
2:00 - 2:30 p.m.		Gospel Choir
2:45 - 3:30 p.m.		Star of Jalisco
3:45 - 4:30 p.m.		Force Four
4:45 - 5:15 p.m.		Austin's Colony
5:15 - 5:40 p.m.		LJ Intermediate School Choir
5:45 - 6:15 p.m.		Brazoswood Drum Line
Info: The Intercoastal Pirates are a rock band. The gospel choir consists of singers from throughout the Brazosport area. The Star of Jalisco is a Tejano band. Force Four is a jazz band. Austin's Colony is a bluegrass band.

2:00 - 6:00 p.m.		Interactive Experiments
Info: The Tell-A-Friend Heritage Group combines art, dramatic storytelling and singing around the tradition of Negro spirituals. Dow employees will be conducting interactive science experiments that are fun for the entire family.

Info: Ezra Charles & The Works with their appealing horn-drenched rhythm & blues, boogie-woogie, Texas rock & roll sound will be the featured performers. Shortly after dusk, a fireworks spectacular set to music will begin. It will be like July 4 on May 6 - only bigger.
