Lake Jackson, TX - February 16, 2006

On February 16, Texas Operations was honored by The Brazosport Area Chamber of Commerce as the recipient of the first ever "Lifetime Corporate Achievement Award," presented to commemorate the site's 65 years of support to the area.

In his presentation of the award, Chamber Chairman Butch Murrell said, "Dow's success in Texas has paved the way for more industry to move to the Gulf Coast and they are the major reason the Brazosport Area is what it is today."

Dow Texas Operations Vice President Bob Walker was on hand to accept the award on behalf of the site. "Our site has been proud to call the Brazosport area home for more than six decades," Walker said. "Dow Texas Operations remains committed to this community and is working tirelessly to retain the jobs we have."

The Brazosport Chamber will join the site throughout the year in celebrating and recognizing the contributions and accomplishments of Texas Operations employees and retirees and their commitment to all of Brazoria County.

Jacque Cundieff, vice president of Freeport's Economic Development Corporation, was named Outstanding Woman of the Year. A.J.
