United Way

The United Way is a strategic partner of Dow, providing help for those in need, while improving the quality of life for the community. From meals and activities for children and senior citizens to helping adults learn to read, the United Way helps neighbors, friends and quite often, Dow employees and their families.

Dow in Texas was recently nominated for the United Way Star of Texas Award for the company's longstanding corporate and employee generosity. The Dow Employee Contributions Drive (DECD) at Texas Operations raised more than $1 million in 2002. Throughout the year, Dow employees donate their time and money to help their fellow residents of Brazoria County. The DECD and the United Way provide them another way to make a positive impact on their community.
