September 2004 CAP Meeting

The Community Advisory Panel (CAP) to Dow Texas Operations recently held its September meeting. CAP members returning from last year introduced themselves to the new CAP members Donald Gibson of Freeport and Bill Harlan of Stratton Ridge.

CAP members discussed the role of CAP members, the community grant program, and the system of employee performance awards.

Guidelines
Members reviewed the CAP meeting guidelines, particularly as they relate to attendance and attendance by non CAP members. It was decided by consensus not to amend the guidelines.

Dow Follow-up and Announcements
Dow announced several initiatives in the community including the annual beach clean up, Dow retirees BBQ, sponsorship of Brazoria County Fair Senior Citizens Day, and status of fish hatchery application.

The September meeting was adjourned at 8:10 pm. The October meeting will be held on October 12, 2004. Members will review the suggestions for improvement from the last CAP year and will discuss at October meeting.
