Children See Parent's World During Child to Work Day

Plaquemine, LA - April 29, 2008

About 60 children accompanied their parents to work at Dow’s Louisiana Operations site in Plaquemine on April 24th for Take Your Child to Work Day. The 12-year-old and up students had an opportunity to see what their parents do during the workday and also to experience a variety of job roles in the chemical industry. Pictured here is Dow employee Brian Stutes, of Plaquemine, showing his 8th grade daughter Alissa Stutes some of Dow’s ENGAGE polyethylene plastic pellets. These plastic pellets will be used for a variety of consumer products such as high-tech athletic shoes, automotive interiors and other plastics applications.
