New Site Director On Board at Dow Louisiana Operations

Sharon Cole
Sharon Cole has come back to Plaquemine to begin her role as Site Director for Dow’s Louisiana Operations. She began her career with Dow in 1981 at the Plaquemine site.
Cole served in a variety of manufacturing roles in Chlor Alkali 2, Chlorine and Brine Mining & Storage. She moved into the Louisiana Operations Vinyl 2, VCM plant in 1992 and was named Production Leader in 1993. In 1997, she moved to Dow’s Freeport, Texas Operations where she was named Technology Director for the Dow Ethylene Dichloride/Vinyl Chloride Monomer business and in 1999 assumed additional responsibilities for process research in that business.
Cole moved into Dow’s Hydrocarbons & Energy business in 2003 as Technology Director for Light Hydrocarbons, Aromatics, Butadiene and Alpha Olefins.
Cole received a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Louisiana State University in 1981 and is originally from the Baton Rouge area. She and her husband Stan, a Dow retiree, are relocating to the area.
