On the Waterfront…

Members of the Dow Community Advisory Panel (CAP) had the opportunity to take a tour of the Dow Louisiana Operations Site during their recent meeting.  Dow Site Logistics Leader Dave Wilson (right) explains shipping operations as the CAP members toured one of the site’s two docks on the Mississippi River.   The CAP members also toured the site’s new Energy Systems Co-generation Power Plant and also the new Emergency Operations Center.

Dow’s CAP is made up of a variety of residents from the surrounding communities who enhance dialogue between local citizens and Dow.  Over the past 17 years, the CAP has served as a voice for the community. Its members, who are nominated and elected by the CAP, represent a cross-section of the Iberville and West Baton Rouge communities in terms of cultural diversity, age, education and employment.
