High School Seniors Given Real Life Experience
Louisiana - April 09, 2007
Seniors from White Castle High School were invited recently to take part in mock interviews with local professionals in an attempt to prepare them for their upcoming graduation. The interviews provided the students with real-life experience and were held to improve their interview and communication skills. Many of the seniors, who are only months away from graduation and job interviews, have never attended a formal interview, making this practice session even more important to their future. The interviews, conducted by Dow employees and other local professions, were very similar to the real interviews the students will be facing in the upcoming months. The seniors prepared detailed portfolios including writing samples, detailed grade reports, business cards and a resume to present to the interviewers. Pictured here (l to r) is Brittany Johnson, a senior at White Castle High School, being interviewed by Donna Curole, Dow Louisiana Operations employee in a classroom at White Castle High.
