Port Allen High Students Get an Inside Look at Electricity

Port Allen High School students visited the Dow Louisiana Operations plant recently to get an up-close look into the plant’s power supply. The 24 students were treated to a presentation and tour around LAO’s Power 2 plant. The students began with a close look at the power plant’s control room and then given a walking tour of the massive turbines that generate all of LAO’s power. Pictured here is Dow employee, Wade Beard, explaining to the students how the power is distributed throughout Dow’s Plaquemine site.
