Hundreds of toys donated during annual Dow Toy Drive

Louisiana - December 19, 2005

Employees and contract employees with Dow’s Louisiana Operations donated hundreds of toys for needy children during this year’s annual toy drive. Participants filled 20 barrels with toys and collected approximately 30 bikes of various sizes.  Participants also contributed over $4,000 in monetary donations, which will be used to purchase new toys as well.

Needy families that will receive toys were identified by Santa’s Helpers in West Baton Rouge Parish, in partnership with the parish school board, and the Iberville Parish School Board in Iberville.

The Toy Drive was chaired by Dow employee Laura Bell.

According to Bell, “Every child in our community deserves to have a happy Christmas. We hope our employees’ donations will, in some small way, help make this a reality.”
