Dow Employees Visit 1,400 Near Neighbors
Louisiana - November 10, 2005
Dow employees recently partnered with Office of Emergency Preparedness representatives and the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office, going door-to-door on October 26th to visit about 1,400 near neighbors and share information regarding emergency preparedness.
During the visits residents were asked if they had concerns about area industry and if they know what to do when the parish Community Alert Broadcast System is activated.
About 50 Dow employee volunteers distributed gift bags that included Dow’s Public Report information, emergency preparedness tips, and an alarm clock made from a plastic product manufactured at the Dow facility in Plaquemine.
