Dow’s Door-to-Door to take place Wednesday, October 26

Louisiana - October 17, 2005

Dow employees will partner with Office of Emergency Preparedness representatives and the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office and go door-to-door on October 26^th to visit about 1,400 near neighbors and share information regarding emergency preparedness.

During the visits residents will be asked if they have concerns about area industry and if they know what to do when the parish Community Alert Broadcast System is activated. 

About 70 Dow employee volunteers will be distributing gift bags that include emergency preparedness tips, information on Dow’s Louisiana Operations site in Plaquemine and an alarm clock made from plastic products like those manufactured at the Dow facility in Plaquemine.
