On Thursday, Sept. 15, Dow Louisiana Operations employees enthusiastically responded to a call to help serve lunch at the Iberville Parish shelter. Nearly 40 employees responded quickly to the call for volunteers - an overwhelming response.

At the time, the parish shelter was housing about 400 residents. Dow volunteers helped sort through donated clothes, assisted in the child care center and helped residents gather needed items as they prepared to move to another shelter. Some volunteers also took the time to just sit with residents and listen to their situations and provide a sympathetic ear.
