Dow, Advisory Panel To Unveil Plans For 47 Building Site at Private Reception
Permanent Display & Commemorative Film To Be Introduced

Midland, Mich. - March 12, 2007

The Dow Chemical Company, in coordination with the 47 Building Advisory Panel, is hosting a private reception on March 13 at the Ted D. Doan History Center in Midland to unveil plans for the land on which the company’s historic 47 Building once stood. The 47 Building Panel consists of Dow employees, retirees, and family members, as well as local residents, with a unique perspective of what 47Building meant to the company and the community. A permanent display and film to commemorate the history and memory of 47 Building will be introduced, as well.

The building was the site of the company’s first headquarters and a place where Dow founders and thousands of Dow people took a humble Midwest enterprise and built The Dow Chemical Company we know today.
