After sponsoring the event at a lower level in 2007, Dow has signed on to be the title sponsor of the 2008 River Roar, an annual powerboat race that brings 100,000-plus spectators to Bay City from across the state of Michigan and beyond. The River Roar has enjoyed 20 years of success with support from local small businesses. The organizers of the River Roar believe that Dow’s sponsorship will give a much-needed boost to the annual event, further increasing visibility and bringing even greater economic benefits to the community. Proceeds from the event are donated to charities throughout mid-Michigan.
