Reducing Emissions

Dow has significantly reduced its emissions over the past decade through science and technology improvements and the care and commitment of Dow employees. Since base year 1996, Dow employees have achieved a 90% emissions reduction. The principle air emissions from our processes include steam (water vapor) and the products of natural gas combustion, primarily carbon dioxide and nitrogen oxides.
