Please provide a request in writing and include the name, address, phone and fax numbers, and e-mail address of your organization. We can consider only written requests. Include the name of a key contact person, his/her title and how to reach him/her.  If you are a registered charitable organization, include your Revenue Canada charitable number.

Your organization

Tell us about your organization. This is important because it gives us a clear sense of what your organization is all about.  Include information such as:

• What are your mission and vision statements, mandate, goals and operating principles?
• When was the organization established?
• Where does your funding currently come from?
• What have been some of the accomplishments or set backs your organization has experienced?
• What are some of your current programs (with description)?
• What makes your organization unique?

Be as specific as possible

Dow will consider written requests for funding assistance provided your proposal includes:

• A clear outline of the project and how the community will benefit;
• The specific amount of funding requested and a description of how it will be used;
• Examples of previous activities, if available;
• A project timeline and total cost of the project.

What to expect

To help us determine our annual contributions plan, all eligible proposals must be received by September 30 each year. Your submission will be evaluated during our budgeting process, usually third to fourth quarter, after which time we will contact you with a decision. If Dow Canada selects your proposal, please ensure that you submit a receipt for the funds you receive. We would also appreciate a letter describing the success of the project.
