Community Advisory Panel![]() Dow believes our corporate decision making process is made better by involving the community. Accordingly, Dow began the Fort Saskatchewan Community Advisory Panel back in the fall of 1991 with the goal of building trust, cooperation and mutual respect between the company and the community. The CAP achieves this by facilitating two-way dialogue between site management and our neighbours and by providing Dow with proactive feedback so concerns can be resolved before they become issues. In September 2004, Dow welcomed MEGlobal to the CAP as a company sponsor. The Dow/MEGlobal Fort Saskatchewan CAP meets bi-monthly from September through June and consists of community residents who represent a broad cross-section of local interests, including health, education, civic, youth and Dow's near neighbours. In addition to hosting guest speakers at each meeting, the Fort Saskatchewan CAP also addresses a number of standing agenda items. These include Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S) updates from the site EH&S leader and top-of-mind discussion where CAP members bring forth comments and questions about site events and activities. Community members with concerns or issues they would like to have addressed at the CAP are invited to contact Public Affairs at 998-8028. 2005/2006 CAP Discussion Topics
