ContributionsAs Herbert H. Dow, founder of the Dow Chemical Company, enjoyed business success, he also made sure that our communities shared in that success. This tradition of social responsibility continues today at Dow sites where donations of more than $18 million (U.S.) a year are made. Dow supports organizations that work at enhancing the quality of community life, as well as those organizations that are committed to sustainable development. ![]() Dow Canada donates about $1 million (Cdn.) a year to Canadian community initiatives that meet economic, environmental and social needs. Dow and Dow employees also contribute time and money to help local community organizations and charities. In addition, Dow supports local volunteerism through its Employee Involvement Program. Through this program, Dow employees are eligible for funding for the organizations in which they volunteer. For more information about Dow Canada's community involvement activities, please see our 2002 report Partner in Our Communities. 2006 Community Grants Program information (Fort Saskatchewan and Prentiss). |
