Dow Automotive France has gone through many changes since its creation as Revco 20 years ago. Now, almost 200 employees strong and recognized as Dow Automotive’s leading sealant plant, the manufacturing site at St Just supplies glass and structural bonding products across Europe to all major automakers.

1972
Creation of Revco. With an initial investment of 100.000 French Francs and just three employees, the company was dedicated to the production of anticorrosion products for the automotive industry

1980
Construction of the factory in St. Just for production of polyurethane, PVC and waxes

Revco Chemical opens a purchasing office in New York, USA.

1984
Revco U.K. created to work with the production facilities of Peugeot in Ryton and Ford in Southampton.

1986
Revco Iberica (Spain) creates both a sales and a production facility for the manufacture of PVC products for Renault and Peugeot SA.

1993
Gurit-Essex AG of Switzerland buys Revco, creating a wider product portfolio for both companies, valued in 1993 at about € 1.1 million.

1996
Gurit-Essex France moved all French operations to St. Just.

2001
Dow Automotive acquired Gurit-Essex, AG.
