“Dow’s business in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States is growing by more than 35% per annum. We have achieved tremendous business results in the latest years and Dow’s global leadership is strongly supporting our growth with new strategic decisions” said Adriaan van den Berge, Dow General Manager Russia. Among Dow’s most recent results in Russia:

We have built a new plant in the village of Kryukovo, 57 km from the Moscow ring road, where we are producing STYROFOAM™ – extruded polystyrene insulation boards (XPS), thermal insulation products designed to increase the energy efficiency of homes and commercial buildings.

We have formed the Dow Izolan joint venture to provide tailored polyurethane systems products to a growing customer base in Russia. The joint venture is committed to build a new, large, state-of-the-art production plant in Vladimir within the next 12-18 months.

We are strengthening our relations and dialogue with key stakeholders including customers and business partners, authorities, media and citizens in the communities where we operate, contributing to the achievement of Dow’s global 2015 Sustainability Goals.
