Dow grows in Russia and participates in the Khimia 2005 exhibition in Moscow
The company is focused on Russia and continuously strengthening its relations and dialogue with key local stakeholders

Dow business activities are continuously growing in Russia.
The company strives to become more and more active in Russia
to better differentiate its products and services in the local market
and to position its global strengths as the choice for the local
industry.
As a part of the global Dow growth strategy in Russia, the company
is participating in Khimia 2005 (Moscow Expocenter, September
59), the most important international exhibition in Russia
for the chemical sector. Dow will strengthen its relations and
dialogue with key local stakeholders; Dow’s customers will
participate in seminars and other dedicated events aimed at better
understanding the wide range of the company’s products,
technologies and applications.
“We have defined a new, more aggressive profile for Dow at
a local level to differentiate us in the market,” said Adriaan
van Den Berge, Dow General Manager Russia. “We want to
continue our double-digit growth together with our customers, and
Khimia represents a key platform for our business promotion.
Moreover, it well supports our dialogue with all local stakeholders
including authorities, media and citizens in the communities
where we operate,” van Den Berge added.
Dow at Khimia is in Pavilion 2, Hall 2, Stand 22C66. The exhibition
is staged by Expocenter with the assistance of Roskhimneft and
the official support of the Russian Federation Ministry of Industry
and Energy, Moscow Government, and Russian Union of Chemists.
The Exhibition is held under the patronage of the Chamber of
Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.
Dow in Russia. Dow first established a local office in
Moscow in 1974. Since then, Dow has grown to employ more
than 60 people in a variety of businesses and functions. In
Russia, Dow offers a variety of plastics and chemicals sold to a
wide range of downstream industries, including automotive, oil
and gas, packaging, furniture, wire and cable, large appliances,

Polyurethanes Systems House Service Center in Zelenograd.
The combined turnover in 2005 for Dow and Dow AgroSciences is
estimated at over 350 million dollars which is a growth rate of
over 35%.
