The Dow Singapore Development Center (SDC) supports the development of process technologies and plastic products throughout Asia-Pacific. It houses a fabrication laboratory, with the capability of simulating actual production condition, as well as a physical and analytical testing laboratory that utilizes the most sophisticated polymer characterization and analysis instruments. It also provides research and development and technical service throughout the region and operate primarily as an R&D lab for a wide variety of Dow product lines, including biocides, water-soluble polymers, vinyl coatings, tritons, Ucarsol™, UCON™ fluids, adhesives, pains and textile emulsions. In 2007, the SDC center added the Dow Biocides and ANGUS Chemical Company Customer Application Centers to its services.
