The Dow Chemical Company's investment in Africa represents the company's continued business interest in the region. The acquisition of Sentrachem in 1997 and the decision to move the Dow Middle East/Africa headquarters from Horgen, Switzerland to Johannesburg, South Africa will provide a platform for Dow's future growth in Africa.

Dow in Africa and its affiliated companies produce a wide range of products, including polyol systems, specialty chemicals and agricultural chemicals – polypropylene and polyethylene. These products are sold within Africa and globally.
