Dow's primary manufacturing location in South Africa is the Dow Plastics operation in Sasolburg. This plant was previously a joint venture between Sentrachem and Hoechst. When Dow acquired Sentrachem, Hoechst's 50% holding was purchased by Dow making it wholly owned by Dow.
