For these applications, ETHOCEL* polymers are used for alkali resistance, bronzing, electrical insulation, fabric coatings, strippable coatings, adhesives, and paper coatings. ETHOCEL is also utilized in gel lacquers for generator field coils and glass bottles.

ETHOCEL polymers possess qualities that make them unique and economically advantageous. The tough ETHOCEL polymers dissolve readily in most organic solvents, are inert to most alkalis and are compatible with plasticizers, waxes, oils, and other resins.

ETHOCEL polymers exhibit dimensional stability, heat stability, and low ash content. These polymers provide the following performance contributions: coating strength, water resistance, high gloss, and solvent resistance to products without adding color, odor, or taste.
