Vorapong Vorasuntharosoth

Vorapong Vorasuntharosoth, who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Chulalongkorn University and a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Tennessee Technological University USA, joined Dow in 1984 as a production engineer.

He has held numerous positions in Manufacturing and Engineering in Thailand, Australia, and Korea including Engineering Manager for the Asia Pacific. In 2000, he was named Public Affairs Leader for Dow in Thailand and added regional responsibilities in 2005. He moved to his current role in 2007.

Vorapong is a member of the Thailand Institute of Chemical Engineers, a Director of Foundation for the Conservation and Rehabilitation of Coral Reefs and Beaches, and a co-chairman of Vietnamese Business Council for Sustainable Development. He served as a governor of The American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand during 2009-2012 and Thailand Country Coordinator for the International Coastal Cleanup program during 2003-2008, a vice president of the Federation of Thai Industries’ Petrochemical Club during 2012-2015 and a director of Community Partnership Association from 2012 - 2015.
