Title: North American Market Segment Manager
Business: Performance Lubricants
As the North American market segment manager for the Performance Lubricants business, Christine Walker is responsible for creating and executing Dow’s business participation strategy into the NA lubricant markets.
Prior to this role, she was product marketing manager for the Dow Lubricants & Fuel Additives business, where she closely collaborated with the regional commercial team to exceed annual P&L goals and drove development projects to maximize growth. Christine led the negotiation and implementation effort to recapture a significant customer in a strategic market segment, resulting in substantial share gain for the business.
Christine joined Dow in May 1999 and held various roles within the customer service center including serving as a key account representative for the Leveraged Basic and Performance Chemicals businesses handling Dow strategic customers. In 2004, she assumed the role of North American product representative for Epoxy and was a year later named product marketing specialist, responsible for liquid epoxy resins and converted resins, as well as solution vinyl resins, GMA, HAA and PXC.
Christine joined Dow’s global purchasing organization in 2009, supporting corporate services procurement for Dow and Dow AgroSciences. She also oversaw purchasing for Dow’s Olympic Sponsorship program. In 2011, Christine was promoted to external manufacturing purchasing manager for Performance Plastics and Plastics Additives Business Divisions where she had global strategic responsibilities.
Based in Midland, MI, Christine holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing from Saginaw Valley State University and is also Green Belt Project Leader certified.
